Selection criteria

This report only includes classes with:

Course codes recorded in the Board Studies Code field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab.
Course types of COS or VETCOS recorded in the Board Studies Type field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab.

Report values

Column	Heading	Description
A	Record Type	Export file code. Note: This value is always "RSCOS".
B	Provider Code	Provider code of the school or organisation authorised to offer the Western Australian Certificate of Education.
		Key configuration details
		Mandatory
		This value is defined using the CurriculumCouncil_SchoolCode configuration setting. See WASCSA_SchoolCode configuration setting. This value has a maximum field length of 10 characters.
C	Course Code	Course code. Note: The third to the fifth characters of the Board Studies Code are used for the Course Code.

		This value is defined using the Board Studies Code on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab. The values of the Board Studies Code field are defined using the luBoardStudiesSubjects lookup table. See luBoardStudiesSubjects lookup table. This field has a maximum field length of 10 characters.
D	Course Type	Course type.

		This value is defined using the Board Studies Type field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab. The values of the Board Studies Type field are defined using the luBoardStudiesType lookup table. See luBoardStudiesType lookup table. This field has a maximum field length of 6 characters. This value can be either VETCOS or COS.
E	Unit Code	Unit code. Note: This field is only populated when the value of the Board Studies Type field on the General tab of Class Maintenance is COS.

		This is defined using the Board Studies Code on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab. The values of the Board Studies Code field are defined using the luBoardStudiesSubjects lookup table. See luBoardStudiesSubjects lookup table. The first 12 characters of the Board Studies Code are used for the Unit Code. This field has a maximum field length of 12 characters.
F	Qualification Code	Qualification code. Note: This field is mandatory when the value of the Board Studies Type field on the General tab of Class Maintenance is VETCOS.

		Mandatory (Where the Course type is VETCOS)
		This value is defined using the Intended Tertiary Qualification field on the School tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - School tab. This field has a maximum field length of 12 characters.
G	Western Australian Student Number (WASN)	Candidate number allocated to the student by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.

		This value is defined using the Studies Code field on the Codes tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Codes tab. This value has a maximum field length of 15 characters.
H	Student Family Name	Surname of the student taking the class.

I	Student Given Name	Given name of the student taking the class.

J	Calendar Year	Calendar year.

		This value is defined using the Year field on the WA SCSA tab of Import/Export Student Data window. See Import_Export Student Data - WA SCSA tab. This value has a maximum field length of 4 characters. This value has the format YYYY.
K	Academic Year	Academic year.

		This value is defined using the Year Level field on the School tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - School tab. The values of the Year Level field are defined using the luYearLevel lookup table. See luYearLevel lookup table. This value must be either 10, 11 or 12. Note: SCSA requires this value to be either 10, 11 or 12. This is not enforced in Synergetic, so you must check the export file to ensure no students prior to Year 10 are included.
L	Semester	Semester.

		This value is: - 3 for classes that have a matching class code in the next semester (i.e. Next Term Class field populated with a matching class code). See Class Maintenance - General tab. - the actual semester value (must be 1 or 2) for classes without a matching class code in the next semester. M	Result	Result for the class. For example, A.

Defining the result To define the result value: Select Module > Assessments > Subject Assessment Area Maintenance. The Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window is displayed. Tip: You can also access the Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window by clicking . Update the search criteria. Click . Select the subject to maintain assessments for. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas. The Summary sub-tab of the Summary tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed. Select the subject assessment area used for the Result of the class. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas. Ensure that Grade is selected in the Result Type drop-down list. Select the Overall Result field. Type a sequence number into the Overall Seq field. Note: You must ensure that the Result, Practical, Written and Unit results have different Overall Seq values. Select Module > System Maintenance > Configuration File Maintenance. The Configuration File Maintenance window is displayed. Use the Find and Include Value Field in Search fields to locate the OverallSeqUnitGrade configuration setting. See OverallSeqUnitGrade configuration setting.
