Future Student Maintenance - Demographic tab

Australian schools use the Demographic tab to maintain information about:

students
parents

for demographic requirements.

The Demographic tab is comprised of three sub-tabs:

Student sub-tab. See below for more details.
Parent 1 sub-tab. See the Future Student Maintenance - Demographic tab - Parent 1 sub-tab.
Parent 2 sub-tab. See the Future Student Maintenance - Demographic tab - Parent 2 sub-tab.

Note: The Parent 1 and Parent 2 sub-tabs have identical fields. Enter the parent details on the sub-tabs.

Opening the Demographic tab

To open the Demographic tab:

Select Module > Future Students > Future Student Maintenance from the main menu.
The Set Future Student Search Criteria window is displayed.
Tip: You can also access the future student functions by clicking .
Search for the future student. See Searching for future students.
Click the Demographic tab.
The Student sub-tab of the Demographic tab of the Future Student Maintenance window is displayed.

Future Student Maintenance - Demographic tab - Student sub-tab key fields

Field	Description
Student ID	Synergetic ID of the student.
Gender	Gender of the student. This field is updated on the Personal tab. See the Future Student Maintenance - Personal tab. Note: You can define the list of genders used at your organisation using the luGender lookup table. See luGender lookup table.
Name	Student's name in the format last name, first name.
Address	Student's address. This is derived from the home address of the student's SC1 contact. To update the address: Locate the student's SC1 contact on the Contacts tab. See the Future Student Maintenance - Contacts tab. Click to launch into Community Maintenance. Update the address on the Home Address tab. See the Community Maintenance - Home Address tab in the Community manual. Note: Silent Address is displayed in the Address field of the Demographic tab if the Silent Address field is selected on the Home Address tab of Community Maintenance.
Phone	Student's home phone. This is derived from the home phone of the student's SC1 contact. To update the phone number: Locate the student's SC1 contact on the Contacts tab. See the Future Student Maintenance - Contacts tab. Click to launch into Community Maintenance. Update the phone number on the Phone tab. See the Community Maintenance - Phone tab in the Community manual.
Forms Received	Date that demographic forms were received from the parents.
Country of Birth	Student's country of birth. Note: Maintain the values in the luCountry lookup table. New Zealand schools, see Country or Jurisdiction of citizenship in the Roll returns manual.
Home Language	Language used by the student at home, if different to the principal language used at your organisation. Note: Maintain the values in the luLanguage lookup table. New Zealand schools, see Pacific Language Learning (PLL) - Language in the Roll returns manual.
Indigenous Student	Select if the student is defined as an indigenous student.
Torres Strait Islander	Select if the student is defined as a Torres Strait islander.
