Problem

Intermittent Printer index out of range error when trying to print crystal reports.

Solution

This error is more environmental and is related to the printer settings of the user. The printing is not actually a function of Synergetic as it simply calls Crystal Reports which does the preview and then it is Crystal Reports which also does the printing. The Synergetic application does not have direct control over the printing of crystal report.

Below set of questions/options will assist to troubleshoot the issue if you experience this error.

1. Does this occur using another computer?
2. Does this occur using another printer?
3. Using the same computer and printer, does this occur using another login?
4. Update the driver from PS to PCL or vice versa.
5. Update the printer driver.
6. Check the temporary directory of the user.  Using command prompt, type SET, check the line TEMP=, can pose an issue if this is too long.

It might also beneficial to uninstall and re-install Synergetic Windows Client from the relevant machine(s) and make sure the latest windows client is installed
