Staff Maintenance - Classes bar

You can view the classes that the staff member teaches on the Classes bar.

Opening the Classes bar

Select Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Staff Search Criteria window is displayed.
Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
Click the Classes bar.

Tip: You can click anywhere on a navigation bar other than the caption to open it.

Fields

Field	Description
Year & Sem	Year and semester you are viewing the classes for. Defaults to the current year and semester.

Buttons

Button	Description
	Refresh the view of the classes after you have changed the Year & Semester.

Grid area fields

Field	Description
File Type	File type of the class. Usually set to A for Academic. See File types in the Introduction manual.
Class	Class code. Select the launch link to display the class in Class Maintenance. See: Navigating around SynWeb in the Introduction manual Maintaining classes in the Assessments and reports manual.
Description	Description of the class. For example, Mathematics.

Field

Description

File Type

File type of the class. Usually set to A for Academic.

Class

Class code.
Select the launch link to display the class in Class Maintenance. See:

Common buttons

Button	Description
	Create a new staff member. See Creating staff members.
	Delete the selected staff member. See Deleting staff members or making them inactive.
	Display the Staff Maintenance Search Criteria window. You can update the search criteria and search for new staff. See Searching for staff members.
	Customise how the bars are displayed. See Customising navigation bars in the Introduction manual.
	Create a new task relating to the current staff member. See Managing tasks in the Introduction manual.
	Click to refresh the screen for the selected staff member.
