Special Tax File Numbers

The following are a list of Tax File Numbers to use in circumstances where a TFN has not be supplied by the employee. You must substitute the TFN with one of the numbers listed below

TFN code Description and when to use

000000000

Used when your payee chooses not to quote a TFN and has not claimed an exemption from quoting a TFN or does not fit into any of the other categories.

111111111

Use this when a new payee has not made a TFN declaration, but 28 days have not yet passed.

333333333Used when the payee is under 18 and earns less than $350 per week, $700 per fortnight or $1,517 per month.
444444444Your payee is an Australian Government pensioner payee
