To create a new event:
- Either click on the:
• Set Events Search Criteria window
• Event Maintenance window.
The Create New Event window is displayed. - Enter a meaningful code and description for the event.
- Click .
The event is added and the Events Maintenance window is displayed.
Once the event has been created you can:
• Display the event on either:
• Community Portal
• your organisation's public events booking website.

• Configure online payments for the event. See Configuring event and excursion payments in the Synergetic Online payments manual.
Create New Events window key fields
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Event Code | Unique code for the event. Note: You should establish a naming convention for events at your organisation. For example, include date details for annual events or events repeated on multiple dates. |
Description | Meaningful description of the event. For example, Annual staff dinner 2014. |
Type | Select a type of event or event group. Event types are maintained in the luEventType lookup table. See luEventType lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual. |
