Creating co-curricular file types

Co-curricular file types include:

• sporting seasons
• musical seasons
• performing arts seasons
• cadet training programs.

To create co-curricular file types:

1. Login to the Synergetic Windows client with administrator rights.
2. Select Module > System Maintenance > Lookup Tables Maintenance in the Synergetic main menu.
   The Lookup Table Maintenance window is displayed.
   
3. Search for the luFileType lookup table.
4. Click .
5. Type a Code for the co-curricular file type. For example, W for winter sports.
6. Type a Description for the co-curricular file type. For example, Winter sports.
7. Select Classes+Results in the CommPortalMeaning field.
8. Select a co-curricular program in the FileTypeProgramCode field. See Creating co-curricular file type programs.
9. Select GROUP in the SecurityMeaning field.
   
   Note: You need group security permissions to the SPTCOCUR module resources and the co-curricular File Type to view co-curricular programs in SynWeb. See the Group/User Security Maintenance - Groups View in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
   
   
10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 to add additional co-curricular file types.
11. Click .
