Description
The UseSystemDSN configuration setting controls whether Synergetic creates user-based ODBC objects in the databases or system-based ones when running Crystal Reports and MS Query data extracts.
Note: Later versions of the Windows Operating System have additional security measures which prevent Synergetic from maintaining the System DSN values. If your organisation uses Windows Vista or later, or Windows Server 2008 or later, we recommend you leave this value set to False.
Default value
The default value is False. That is, Synergetic creates user-based ODBC objects in the databases.
Setting a different value
Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.
