Description
The ShowPossibleAbsenceCode setting is used to determine whether the Possible Absence Type field (column) is displayed on the Attendance window.
See Attendance window in the Attendance and absence events manual.

Default value
The default value is True.

A teacher can add a Possible Absence Type for an absent student on the Attendance window. This is made available to the Attendance Officer on the Modify Absence Event window. In the following example, the Overseas holiday code has been added by the teacher and is shown below the Absence Type field.

Setting a different value
Clear the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to False. See Maintaining configuration files.

The Possible Absence Type field (column) is no longer displayed on the Attendance window.
