luAbsenceReason lookup table

Description
The luAbsenceReason lookup table is used to:

Record reasons that appear on the Create Absence Event window. See Individual student absence events in the Attendance and absence events manual.

Optionally restrict available reasons to those with a matching absence type code.

The reasons also appear on the:

Attendance tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Attendance tab in the Current students manual.
Absent tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Absent tab in the Current students manual.
Absences tab of Staff Maintenance. See Staff Maintenance - Absences tab in the Human resources manual.

Example

Fields

Field	Description
Code	Unique code used to identify the absence reason.
Description	Description as it appears on the Reason field on the Create Absence Event window.
AbsenceType-Code	Link to the absence type code in the luAbsenceType lookup table. See luAbsenceType lookup table. In the following example, late reasons have been added with an AbsenceTypeCode of L. These are linked to the late entry in the luAbsenceType lookup table using the L code. If a user selects a late sign in mode on the Create Absence Event window: the AbsenceType is set to Late the available reasons are restricted to those with a matching absence type code. Leave this field empty if the reason can apply to more than one absence type. In the following example, the reasons are displayed excluding the reasons linked to the Late absence type, described earlier. See Individual student absence events in the Attendance and absence events manual.
Active Flag	Whether the selected absence reason is available at your organisation.
ModifiedDate	Date and time the lookup table entry was last modified.
ModifiedUser	User that last modified the lookup table entry.
