ParentFlag configuration setting

Description
The ParentFlag setting is used to determine whether to add a parent constituency when:

• creating a new current, enquiry student or future student
• the Contact is Student field, or equivalent, is selected on the Contact Name window.

Default value
The default value is False.
If you set the ParentFlag setting to False, the parent constituency is not added. However, the relevant alternative constituency is added.
In the following examples, the:

• @SCOC constituency (Current Student Other Contact) has been added to the current student

• @FSOC constituency (Future Student Other Contact) has been added to the future student.

Setting a different value
Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.

The relevant parent constituency is added on the Constits tab in Community Maintenance for the student. In the following examples, the:

• @PC constituency (Current Parent) has been added to the current student.

• @PF constituency (Future Parent) has been added to the future student.
