Medical Maintenance - Medical tab

Use the Medical tab to maintain:

public medical alerts, for example a medical disability
contact details for the person's dentist
medical details and incidents.

Tip: The Medical tab is identical to the Medical tab in Current Student Maintenance for students or Staff Maintenance for staff members. See Current Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Current students manual or Staff Maintenance - Medical tab in the Human resources manual.

Opening the Medical tab

To open the Medical tab:

Open the Medical tab from one of the following maintenance windows:
• Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Current students manual.
• Future Student Maintenance. See Future Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Future students manual.
• Past Student Maintenance. See Past Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Past students manual.
• Staff Maintenance. See Staff Maintenance - Medical tab in the Human resources manual.
Click .
The Summary tab of the Medical Maintenance window is displayed.
Click the Medical tab.
The Medical tab of Medical Maintenance is displayed.

Medical Maintenance - Medical tab key fields and buttons
Fields

Field	Description
Public Medical Alert	Enter a summary of any medical information that needs to be known throughout your organisation, such as potentially life-threatening conditions including anaphylaxis, asthma and epilepsy. Tip: When you are positioned in the field, you can click on the Synergetic toolbar to check the spelling of the text.
Medical Alert	Select to indicate that the student has a medical condition that staff members need to be alerted to. The medical alert icon is displayed on the Student Maintenance window. Tip: Click on the icon on the Student Maintenance window to go straight to the Medical tab.

Buttons

Button	Description
	Maintain the details and medical history of the person. See Maintaining medical details.
	Maintain the details of a particular medical incident involving the person. See the Medical Maintenance - Incidents tab.
