Use the Dates tab to record:

Opening the Dates tab

To open the Dates tab:

Select Module > Students or Assessments > Course Maintenance from the main menu.
The Set Course Search Criteria window is displayed.
Tip: You can also access the course functions by clicking or .
Search for the course. See Searching for courses.
The General tab of the Course Maintenance window is displayed.
Click the Dates tab.
The Dates tab of the Course Maintenance window is displayed.

Course Maintenance - Dates tab key fields

Field	Description
Start Date	Starting date of the course.
End Date	Ending date of the course.
Alternate Finish Date	Alternative ending date of the course. Note: This field does not have any specific functionality within Synergetic. You can use it however best fits your organisation.
Open Enrolment Date	Date from which students can enrol in the course.
Closed Enrolment Date	Date students can no longer enrol in the course.
Duration Weeks	Length of the course in weeks.
Valediction Date	Date that students are farewelled. Note: This field is not automatically populated by the Course End Date.
OSHC Months	Number of months used for OSHC calculations. OSHC is required for overseas students for the duration of their enrolment as a condition of their visa in Australia. OSHC: helps pay for any medical or hospital care the student needs while studying in Australia contributes towards the cost of prescription medicines contributes towards an ambulance in an emergency does not cover dental, optical and physiotherapy. OSHC is arranged by your organisation for the overseas student. Students must register with one of the authorised insurance companies.
