Importing results from Excel to the highlighted results column

You can import student results from Excel into Student Results Maintenance. You are restricted to importing a column at a time.

To import results from Excel to the highlighted results column:

  1. Start Microsoft Excel.
  2. Open the spreadsheet containing the student results.

    Note: Column A must contain the Synergetic IDs of the students.
    Tip: To easily get the Synergetic IDs and students for the class, first export the blank results to Excel. For a similar example, see Exporting results to Microsoft Excel for a class.
  3. Highlight the cells containing the results that you want to import.
  4. Switch to Synergetic.
  5. Open the All Students tab of Student Results Maintenance for the class you are updating the results for. See Student Results Maintenance - All Students tab.
  6. Highlight the column that you want to import results for.

    Tip: Click the heading to highlight the column.
  7. Right click.
    The menu is displayed.
  8. Select Import Results for Highlighted Column from Excel.

    The following dialog window is displayed.
  9. Click .
    The student results are imported and values updated for each corresponding student.
  10. Repeat steps 2 through 9 for each additional column that needs importing.
