Class Maintenance - Web Elective tab

Use the Web Elective tab to determine which electives are displayed on the Community Portal. See Enabling co-curricular electives on the Community Portal in the Community Portal manual.

Opening the Web Elective tab

To open the Web Elective tab:

Select Module > Students or Assessments, then Class Maintenance.
The Set Class Search Criteria window is displayed.
Tip: You can also access the class maintenance functions by clicking or .
Select the required class.
The General tab of the Class Maintenance window is displayed.
Click the Web Elective tab.
The Web Elective tab of the Class Maintenance window is displayed.

Class Maintenance - Web Elective tab key fields
Fields

Field	Description
Elective Group	Type of elective group. See luElectiveGroup lookup table in the System Maintenance manual.
Portal Description	Description of the elective displayed on the Community Portal.
Gender	Gender of the students in the elective group. Note: You can define the list of genders used at your organisation using the luGender lookup table. See luGender lookup table.
Campus	Campus of elective group.
Year Level From	Minimum year level allowed in the elective group.
Year Level To	Maximum year level allowed in the elective group.
Age From	Minimum age allowed in the elective group.
Age To	Maximum age allowed in the elective group.
Active	Whether the elective group is active.
