Issue
Schools using the Stripe Payment Gateway have received complaints from parents that they are unable to make a payment when using the Pay Now link that they received in an email. On the payment page, the Pay Now Button is spinning and not refreshing with the total amount of the payment.
Fix
A hotfix has been developed to update the affected javascript files on your web server.
The hotfix can be applied as follows:
Download the PowerShell script and the zip file from the bottom of this page.
Copy the two files onto your web server into any working folder.
Run Windows PowerShell as an administrator.
In PowerShell, change to the folder that you copied the files to.
Run the PowerShell script (PayNowFix20260205.ps1) with the folder location of your Synergetic web products as a parameter. For example: PayNowFix20260205.ps1 c:\inetpub\wwwroot
The script makes a backup of the current files and then copies the new files to their relevant locations.
This patch does not require any downtime.
Outcome
The Pay Now button will be available and payments can be made successfully.
A change in the way Stripe handles payments and calculates surcharges means that there is now an extra click required when making a payment.
Verification
Follow a PayNow link to proceed to the payment page
Complete the relevant details
Ensure that the Pay Now button is available
If the Pay Now button is still not available, you may need to clear their browser cache.
