Defining the page layout

You can define the page layout by using page layout elements that structure elements into either:

  • one column
  • two columns.

Once the page layout is defined you can drag and drop additional elements into the page layout elements to define the contents of the form. See Adding elements.

To define the page layout:

  1. Click .
  2. Click the Elements tab. See Online form builder - Elements tab.
    The Elements tab is displayed.
  3. Click the Page Layout sub-tab of the Elements tab.
    The Page Layout sub-tab is displayed.
  4. Add a page layout element by dragging and dropping it onto the Form window. You can add either:

    • One column
    • Two columns.

  5. Repeat step 4 until you have added all the page layout elements required for your form.
  6. Click the first page layout panel.
    The element editor controls are displayed.
  7. Click .
    The Properties tab is displayed.
  8. Change the description in the Heading Text property to your preferred heading. For example, Contact Details.
  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until all headings have been updated.


    Tip:
    You can reorder panels while in the Panels editing mode by dragging and dropping them to their new locations.

     
  10. Click .
