Creating groups

You can create Groups for each performing art in your organisation's performing arts program including:

ballet
musicals
plays.

Note: Groups are the level one subject class categories of Performing Arts Maintenance. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table.

To create groups:

Select Curriculum > Performing Arts Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.

Note: The title of the Co-Curricular Maintenance menu item is determined by the MenuText field in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.

The Set Group Search Criteria window is displayed.

Note: The windows in Performing Arts Maintenance use the words Group and Cast. This text is set using the SubjectClassCategoryLevel fields on the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.
Click .
The Create New Group window is displayed.

Tip: You can also display the Create New Group window by clicking in the SynWeb toolbar.
Select a Campus.
Type a Code for the group. For example, Musicals.
Enter a Description for the group. For example, Musicals.
Select a performing arts learning area. See Creating co-curricular learning areas.

Note: The title of this field is determined by the LearningAreaOverride field. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.
Select a Staff Member to oversee the group.
Click .
The group is created and displayed in the Group Selector.
Repeat steps 3 to 8 to create additional groups.
