Class Maintenance - Student Electives bar

Use the Student Electives bar to maintain student elective preferences. You can:

view student elective preferences
enrol students in electives.

Opening the Student Electives bar

To open the Student Electives bar:

Select Curriculum > Class Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Class Maintenance Search Criteria window is displayed.
Search for the class. See Searching for classes.
Click the Student Electives bar.

Tip: You can click anywhere on the bar to open it.

Class Maintenance - Student Electives bar key grid area fields

Note: The grid area fields have a filter. See Sorting and filtering grids in the Introduction manual.

Field	Description
Name	Name of the student.
Class	Class the student is enrolled in.
Age	Age of the student.
Preference	Elective preference of the student.
Mode	Mode of elective preference submission.
Submitted Date	Date the elective preference was submitted.
Enrolled Date	Date the student was enrolled in the elective.

Common buttons

Button	Description
	Navigate between the selected courses.
	Launch the Create New Course window to add a new course to the database. Enter the details for the course and click .
	Display the Course Maintenance Search Criteria window. You can update the search criteria and search for new courses. See Searching for courses.
	Customise how the bars are displayed. See Customising navigation bars in the Introduction manual.
	Create a new task relating to the current course. See Managing tasks in the Introduction manual.
