Description
The ExtendSeconds configuration setting determines how long to extend the lock duration for a class when a results page is refreshed. This prevents another user editing the class results:
- while another user is editing the class
- if the other user closed their web browser.
A result lock on a class is:
- deleted when a user:
- navigates away from a page
- logs out.
- not deleted when a web browser is closed down.
Default value
The default value is 1200 seconds (20 minutes). This is the same time as the standard session length.
Setting a different value
You can update the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window. See Maintaining configuration files.
