Description
The ContactMinutesLower setting is used to set the maximum amount of minutes that a student can be absent in one day and still be assigned a rounded Absence Factor of 0.0.
If a student is absent for more minutes than the ContactMinutesLower their Absence Factor is rounded to either 0.5 or 1.0.
Note: The criteria for assigning an Absence Factor of 0.5 or 1.0 are based on the ContactMinutesUpper configuration setting and the ContactMinutes configuration setting.
Default value
The default value is 120. If a student is absent for less than 120 minutes their rounded Absence Factor is 0.0.
Setting the value
Type the new value into the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window. See Maintaining configuration files.
