Generating STP event files

To generate the STP event file:

1. Open the Finalise Payroll window. See Finalising payroll.
   The Finalise Payroll window is displayed.
   
2. Click .
   The Process STP window is displayed.
   
   

   Note: For information about the fields and buttons of the Process STP window, see Process STP window.
   
   

   Note: You can also process Single Touch Payroll events using the STP Maintenance window. See STP Maintenance window.
   
   
3. Click .
   The STP event is generated and any errors and warnings are displayed.
   
   
4. Either:
   
   • Errors are identified:
   
   - Click  to export details of the errors as a text file.
   - Click . See Cancelling STP event processing.
   - Resolve the errors listed in the exported file.
   - Repeat the process from Step 1.
   
   • Warnings are identified:
   
   - Review the warnings to determine whether they need to be resolved.
   - Fix the warnings as per the steps for error resolution, if required.
   
   Generating STP event files is complete.
   
   •  is displayed next to the  button
   • All the remaining buttons on the Process STP window are enabled.

You can continue processing the STP event by viewing the STP event file. See Viewing STP event files.
