Using the Search window

The Search window allows rapid searching of the entire Synergetic program.

You can display the Search window by either:

clicking the Search in the main menu

clicking an empty section of the main toolbar

pressing Ctrl+Shift+S
typing onto an empty Synergetic screen.

Note: Activate the last option by selecting the Auto Popup field on the search window. For this feature to work the screen must have no open Synergetic windows.

Tip: You can use the Search window to quickly open reports.

The Search window updates automatically as you type and matches your search query against all the main window names in Synergetic. In the image below the search has been refined and Synergetic has determined that two windows match the query.

You can close the Search window by either:

pressing the Esc button on your keyboard
clicking on an empty section of Synergetic.

Fields	Description
Auto Popup	Select to automatically display the Search window when the user types on an empty Synergetic screen.
	Mouse over to display search option information.
