Use the Accommodation sub-tab to:

Book accommodation with accommodation suppliers, such as hostels and home stays. See Booking accommodation with accommodation suppliers (Future students).
Edit an existing accommodation booking. See Editing accommodation bookings (Future students).
Delete an existing accommodation booking. See Deleting accommodation bookings (Future students).

You can also use this sub-tab to book accommodation with one of the student's contacts. However, it is preferable to use the Contacts sub-tab to avoid confusion. See Future Student Maintenance - Accommodation tab - Contacts sub-tab.

Opening the Accommodation tab

To open the Accommodation tab:

Select Module > Future Students > Future Student Maintenance from the main menu.
The Set Future Student Search Criteria window is displayed.
Tip: You can also access the future student functions by clicking .
Search for the future student. See Searching for future students.
Click the Accommodation tab.
The Accommodation sub-tab of the Accommodation tab of the Future Student Maintenance window is displayed.

Fields

Include Past Bookings	Either: select this field to show past bookings as well as current bookings clear this field to exclude them.

Grid area fields

Field	Description
Description	Name of the accommodation supplier or contact object that the student is booked to stay with. The accommodation objects can be viewed in the object hierarchy. In the following example: Two hostels have been set up. See Accommodation objects (Future students). A student's contact object has been set up using the Contacts sub-tab. See Future Student Maintenance - Accommodation tab - Contacts sub-tab.
Room Number	Student's room number for the accommodation booking.
Date From / Date To	Date range for the accommodation booking.
Checked In /Checked Out	Dates that the student checked in and out on.
Object No	Object number of the accommodation object selected. This value comes from the General tab of Object Maintenance. In the following example, the object number for the Grimwade Hostel accommodation object is highlighted.
Booking Seq	Booking number. This value comes from the Object Booking window. In the following example, the Booking Seq field is highlighted.

Buttons

Button	Description
	Open the accommodation record in Object Maintenance. See Maintaining objects in the Objects manual. Tip: Double click on the selected record to open it.
	Create a new accommodation booking. See Booking accommodation with accommodation suppliers (Future students).
	Edit or delete an existing accommodation booking. See: Editing accommodation bookings (Future students) Deleting accommodation bookings (Future students).
	Not applicable for accommodation.
