Use the General tab to maintain summary information about the parent teacher interview cycle.
To open the General tab:
- Select Module > Students > Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance from the main menu.
The Set Parent Teacher Search Criteria window is displayed. - Select the parent teacher interview cycle.

Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance - General tab key fields
General area fields
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Description | Description to identify the parent teacher interview cycle. |
File Type | Defaults to academic classes but can be used for assessable co-curricular classes. |
Year | Defaults to the current year. |
Term | Term that the parent teacher interviews are held. |
Active Cycle | Clear the field if this parent teacher interview cycle is no longer active. |
Cycle Options area fields
Field | Description |

Allow Slot Per Class | Select to allow parents to book as many slots as their child has classes with that teacher. |
Contiguous Bookings | Select to force multiple bookings to be contiguous. That is, a parent booking three ten-minute slots must book them all in a row as a half-hour block, not spaced out throughout the evening. |
Appointments Per Staff | Type in the maximum number of appointments a parent can book with a staff member. |
Multiple Appointments Per Staff | Type in the maximum number of multiple-slot appointments a parent can book with a staff member. |
