Affects

This error can affect all clients when using any of the finance modules. 

Error

Unable to select GL code when creating a posting  receive error 'You have entered an invalid value'

Resolution

This is because the posting is in a GL year that does not yet exist. For example Payroll from Dec 20 to Jan 2 and the GL year for Jan is yet to be created. To resolve create the new GL Year 

Considerations

Do not create the GL Code individually in the new year. Ensure you create and roll the entire GL.
