What is CoreAPI?
API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows Synergetic applications to talk to each other 'SynergeticCore' will be installed as part of the installation process. This new site will also require the use of a certificate and matching DNS record pointing to the IP address of the web server. (ie: 'synergeticcore.school.edu.au'). This new site is accessed by other Synergetic applications (Address Validation, Application Portal, Online Forms, Events Booking). This new website will also need to be published in the same way as the other web products.
Middleware Error in Synergetic → Community
Resolution:
- Check Middleware API configuration is setup correctly (Configuration Maintenanace → Middleware | Core | URL
- Check if you can access the URL successfully
- If not you may most likely to have firewall blocking the service and you will need to contact network administration team to allow this URL through firewall.
- Check if you can successfully connect to the database (Admin → Connect)
- If you get an error like below please contact Synergetic support for further assistance (Admin → Connect)
