The payroll tax tables have been released for the 2027 financial year (01 July 2026 to 30 June 2027). You can find a link to download the tax tables and instructions on how to apply them below.
This TaxRates.txt contains Australian FY27 ATO and New Zealand FY27 NZ IRD Tax Rates.
Downloading the tax rates file
- To download the TaxRates.txt file, right-click this link TaxRates.txt (2026/2027) or the TaxRates.txt file link below and select 'Save As'. Alternatively, you can download the TaxRates.txt file directly from the attachment at the bottom of this page.

- Save the file to your preferred file directory.
Loading the tax rates
After downloading the tax rates file, the new rates can be loaded into Synergetic.
To load the tax rates into Synergetic:
- Select Module > Payroll > Load Tax Rates.
The Load Payroll Tax Rates window is displayed.

- Click [Browse]
- Navigate to the file directory where you saved the TaxRates.txt file.

- Select the file
- Click [Open] – The file is loaded into the Load From Directory field

- Check the file path is correct.
- Click [OK]
- The Confirm Window is displayed

- Confirm the correct File is Dated 01 July 2026 (FY 2026-27).
- Click [Yes]
The tax rates will load and Synergetic will be updated with the new figures ready to use in your first post July 01, 2026 pay.

Important: Please read before importing
To ensure the new tax tables are applied correctly, it is vital that you:
- Complete and close your final payroll run for June 2026 before importing the new tax tables.
- Import the updated tax rates file only after your final June pay run has been processed.
- Do not import the new file before completing your final June pay run, as this may result in incorrect tax calculations and could require the process to be repeated.
