Custom icons are used in Synergetic and SynWeb to visually represent information for a community member. For example, an icon may indicate that a student has a medical alert, is under disciplinary probation or is undergoing a family separation.
You can configure some aspects of custom icons through Synergetic Configuration File Maintenance.

For each custom alert icon you want to display in SynWeb, you must:
- Create a configuration key for the icon. See Creating custom alert icons.
- Copy the icon image file to the correct location. See Creating custom icon images for SynWeb.
