Description
The ExplodeMultiAllDayEventsFlag setting is used to determine whether to create a single absence event or create multiple absence events for a multi-day all day absence.

Default value
The default value is False. A single absence event is created for a multi-day all day absence, using the all day mode.
For example, Angelo Adamski is on an overseas holiday from the 30/06 until 4/07. A single absence event is created for this date range.

When this setting is False, restrictions are in place when modifying a multi-day absence event. See Modifying all day absences in the Attendance and absence events manual.

Setting a different value
Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.

Several all day absence events are created, one for each day of a multi-day all day absence. For example, Amanda Adamski is on an overseas holiday from the 24/06 until 27/07 and this is represented as several all day absences.

When this setting is True, there are no restrictions when modifying a multi-day absence event. Each day's absence event can be modified or deleted as required. See Modifying all day absences in the Attendance and absence events manual.
