Tips about group_user security

Modified on Mon, 20 Apr at 12:21 AM

In order for a user to access programs that can only be run from other programs, you must grant access to:

  • The base program (Student Maintenance).
  • The tab from which you run the other program (Medical).
  • The program that is to be run from this tab (Medical Details). Within this program you also need to define tab security.

For example, when making Medical Details available from the Medical tab of Student Maintenance the:

  • base program is Student Maintenance.
  • tab from which you run the other program is Medical.
  • program that is to be run from this tab is Medical Details.

If a staff member needs to split families, then 'delete' rights must be given in Community Maintenance.
To access a program, access rights to the module must be given.
To access the tabs, access rights to the program must be given as well.
