You may not date any postings on or prior to dd/mm/yyyy as the general ledger has been audited to this date.

You might come across this message in synergetic if you are trying to post anything to your GL accounts prior to the last G/L Audited to Date.

This is a setting in the System> Finance Configurations Maintenance> General Tab and is normally set by a user who has proper permissions to access this area.

 This date is normally updated at the end of the year once all the accounts and books are audited and finalized. This setting limits users from posting on or prior to this date. However, authorized users are able to modify this date to allow other users to post on or prior to this date if it is needed.

If you do not have the permissions, you should discuss this with you Finance Department to check and authorise the action.
