Updating instalment frequencies

The Update Instalment Frequency window is used to scan through a debtor's instalments and set the instalment frequency based on the selections.
It will also recalculate the amounts to be charged to pay off the instalments.

Opening the Update Instalment Frequency window

To open the Update Instalment Frequency window:

For the required debtor, open the Instalments tab of Debtor Maintenance. See Debtor Maintenance - Instalments tab.
The Instalments tab of the Debtor Maintenance window is displayed.
Click .
The Update Instalment Frequency window is displayed.

Update Instalment Frequency key fields

Field	Description
Payment Plan	Set the payment plan instalment frequencies to be updated. Note: Selecting a payment plan does not actually update the debtor's payment plan. It simply copies the values into the fields below.You may also need to update automatic payment details. See Applying process adjustments.
New Instalment Frequency	Set the debtor's instalments to this frequency.
Instalment Charges Remaining for Year	The number of instalment charges left for the year. This is automatically entered when the Instalment Frequency is selected.
Next Instalment Date	The date the next instalment will be charged.
Instalments With No Charges Generated	Select if you want to only apply the update to instalments with no charges generated. For example, decide on how to treat next year's charges while outstanding charges exist, or an instrument that has not been charged out in full.
Current Instalment Frequency	Only change instalments that are currently set to this frequency. For example, if you want to change all Monthly instalments to Fortnightly instalments.
