Monitoring student absence data using the Student Absence Power BI Dashboard

You can use the Student Absence Power BI Dashboard to view and filter student absence data including:

absences by absence factor
smoothed absences by date (including forecast)
absences compared to last year
absence difference compared to last year
average absences by year level.

Student Absence Power BI - Interactive dashboard

You can use this interactive dashboard to explore the functionality of the Student Absence Power BI Dashboard.

Student Absence Power BI Dashboard key tiles

Tile	Description
Date Range	Date range of the displayed data. You can filter the dashboard content by adjusting the dates using either: text fields slider.
Absences (by absence factor)	Total absences for each student enrolled at your organisation by absence factor. You can: select a column to filter the dashboard content by year select a row to display dashboard data for the selected student.
Smoothed Absence by Date (with Forecast)	Smoothed absences by date including a forecast to allow you to monitor the ongoing relationship between dates and student absences. You can: hover over the graph to display a popup summarising the absence data at the specified date Note: Hovering over the section of the graph including forecast data displays the forecast value in the popup. click a point on the graph to filter the dashboard content by the specified date.
Absence This Year vs Last Year	Total absences compared to the previous year. You can: click a column to filter the dashboard content by the Total Absence Factor or Total Absence Factor LY for the selected month click a dot in the legend to filter the dashboard content by Total Absence Factor or Total Absence Factor LY.
Absence Difference This Year vs Last Year	Difference in absences compared to the previous year. You can: hover over the graph to view a popup summarising the difference at the specified date click a location of the graph to filter the dashboard content.
Average Absence by Year Level	Average absences for each year level at your organisation. For each year level you can view: Average absence factor Average absence factor compared to the previous year. You can: click a row to filter the dashboard content by Average Absence Factor or Average Absence LY for the selected year level click a dot in the legend to filter the dashboard content by Total Absence Factor or Total Absence Factor LY.
Campus	Select one or more checkboxes to filter the entire dashboard by the selected campuses.
House	Select one or more checkboxes to filter the entire dashboard by the selected houses.
Year Level	Select one or more checkboxes to filter the entire dashboard by the selected year levels.
